Dear Readers, Summer has left the HAUS. Vancouver is back to its old tricks; a perpetual blanket of grey skies and taxi drivers that drive like a woman is giving birth out of their backseat. The drinks specials have changed. But the future is still haute-r than ever. Things are stirring up here at Vancouver Fashion Week. Designers are getting their collections ironed out and steamed to present you a fantastic show of up-and-comers, industry heavyweights and past favourites starting this September 18th. Tabobo, (http://czarinnabravotabobo.com ), upcoming posts by Yours Truly will be nothing but ridiculously haute or couture cool. As you may have heard last week, we have begun a fashion passion project. With H.A.U.S of Kolbee creating concepts and styling photoshoots and fashion films, we are going to begin a line of photoshoots where we embrace all different types of beauty. We want to create a safe space in Vancouver fashion that simply says, you can be anything you want to be. We want to celebrate individual street fashion with real style swagger. We want our photoshoots to be honest, not just because it is the best policy, but also because it is the most powerful. The most inspiring art is honest. We want to showcase faces of all shapes, colours, ages and sizes and it will be our job to make sure they have the right foundation on and some funky false lashes glued on. It will be our duty as the vessel for these voices that don’t get heard very much, to be screaming from Vancouver rooftops.
