Prabal Gurung Knows What Women Want.

As a blogger, a stylist, and a lover of all things glamorous, I feel that I, Megan West  must give some love to one of the most exciting male designers in fashion. If Prabal Gurung doesn’t have permanent placement on your fashion radar yet, I promise this will soon change.

Prabal’s Spring/Summer 2012 Collection hit me hard and is a major testament to the design genius that he is.

Somehow, Prabal designed a line that gives us that high fashion, over-the-top insanity that many of us could die for but that is totally wearable at the same time. If you love slightly space-age couture mixed with classic silhouettes and a touch of super-sexy detailing (think silk and leather). This collection will knock. You. Out.

It is seriously out of control. In the best way possible.

Prabal takes his work to the next level with his insane use of colors like  vibrant purple and aqua dominate. He works in luxurious fabrics like silk and chiffon into impeccable structures.

Throughout his Collection he adds a little edge to ladylike silhouettes by juxtaposing hard and soft details. You are instantly drawn into the futuristic feel to his out-of-this-world pantsuits and beyond the red carpet, fashion-forward gowns.

There are literally no words to describe the beauty and creativity that defines these pieces.
